Paranormalcy Book Trailer

Paranorlmacy

Book :Paranorlmacy
Author: Kiersten White
Genre: Young Adult

Evelyn is a paranormal tracker, she hunts paranormals down and tags them for the agency that she works for. Her whole life revolved around the agency and tracking paranormals until one day paranormals start getting killed and she meets Lend, the hot shape-shifting boy that she caught sneaking into the agency. Not only does she start to question why she exists but why she isn't allowed to leave the protection of the agency.

I have to say this book was really slow for me and I almost did not finish it. I loved the story line but the book itself just wasn't entertaining. I was told to read this by a friend who loved it so maybe it was just me. The character Evelyn was definitely a good change in the young adult genre she had the kick ass skills of a teen ninga but the sweet loving tenderness of young romantic. I liked also how this book didn't just revolve around one paranormal group there where several in the book and also a few that where totally new to the young adult genre. If you pick up this book to read I hope you enjoy it more than I did.

Leaving Paradise Trailer

Review for Leaving Paradise

Author: Simone Elkeles
Genre: YA
Barnes and Noble Synopsis:

Nothing has been the same since Caleb Becker left a party drunk, got behind the wheel, and hit Maggie Armstrong. Even after months of painful physical therapy, Maggie walks with a limp. Her social life is nil and a scholarship to study abroad—her chance to escape everyone and their pitying stares—has been canceled.
After a year in juvenile jail, Caleb’s free . . . if freedom means endless nagging from a transition coach and the prying eyes of the entire town. Coming home should feel good, but his family and ex-girlfriend seem like strangers.
Caleb and Maggie are outsiders, pigeon-holed as "criminal" and "freak." Then the truth emerges about what really happened the night of the accident and, once again, everything changes. It’s a bleak and tortuous journey for Caleb and Maggie, yet they end up finding comfort and strength from a surprising source: each other.

What happens when the person who damaged you for life becomes the person you trust the most? The whole book is about Caleb and Maggie learning to trust one another although they are the most unlikely people in the world to do that. I have to say I really enjoyed this book, it was a step away from the creepy stuff that I have been reading lately. I liked how each chapter switched point of views between Caleb and Maggie so the reader was able to see both of their inner most feelings. I also saw how both of them changed drastically compared to how they where in the beginning. Elkeles brought up a good point in this book to. She revealed that forgiveness and trust are what bring people together. Altogether a very good book....definitely recommend it to anyone. Both boys and girls may enjoy it.

CRESCENDO Book Trailer (FallenArchangel)

Crescendo:Review!

Book:Crescendo
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Genre: Young Adult
Barnes and Noble synopsis:

The sequel to the New York Times Best selling phenomenon, Hush, Hush!
Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Review:
Wow! Wow! This book was amazing I loved it so much. At the beginning I was a little annoyed with Nora and her need to always be with Patch. It reminded me a little to much of the relationship between Edward and Bella. And to me it degrades the power of woman by symbolizing as women as something weak and powerless. But when they broke up and Nora kept pushing him away I knew she had the remote in the relationship and could change the channel at any point. Becca kept surprising the reader by making Patch look like the bad guy the whole story until the very end when he of course saves his  love and admits his true love for her. I was very impressed with this book and would recommend it to any girl who loves paranormal and a lost love requited.

Beautiful Creatures Book Trailer

Book Review for Beautiful Creatures!

Title: Beautiful Creatures
Author(s): Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Summary from Barnes and Noble:

There were no surprises in GatlinCounty
We were pretty much the epicenter of the middle of nowhere.

At least, that's what I thought.

Turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong.

There was a curse.

There was a girl.

And in the end, there was a grave.
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.
Review:
Wow! This book was amazing and beautifully crafted! There was never a slow part and I was addicted after page one. The characters where amazing. I usually don't care for books that are from the point of views of guys but I loved Ethan! If a guy like him went to my school I think I would seriously have a huge crush on him. At the beginning I was a little confused about what Lena and  her family where but once I found out I was oh my gosh that is so cool! Yes, this another paranormal love but it involves Casters(kind of like witches but everyone is assigned there own power). But I think this a very different romance because Lena is strong and can take care of herself and its Ethan that needs her because she completes him. Finally, a book where the female is strong. All in all I thought this book was amazing and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romances and the small town feel! Happy Reading!
